Use this copy before the face scan flow begins and before any face scan image, facial geometry, scan-derived appearance data, generation metadata, or related personal data is transmitted to PSL Max servers or OpenAI. This should be separate from the iOS Camera/Photos permission prompt.
Current iOS placements: first baseline scan during onboarding, Home scan button, extra scan or cooldown-bypass scan flow, and Generate before any AI generation request. If the user taps Not Now, the scan or generation flow does not proceed. If the user taps Agree & Continue, consent is saved locally and the original flow continues. Settings includes Face Scan & AI Processing Consent status and revoke support.
First-use modal
Face Scan & AI Processing Consent
PSL Max uses your face scan or selected image to provide appearance analysis and AI image generation.
Before you continue, PSL Max may collect your face scan image, facial landmarks/geometry, scan-derived appearance data, generation settings, and related request metadata.
This information may be sent to PSL Max servers for scan processing, scoring, storage, safety, debugging, abuse prevention, and service security. If you use AI image generation, your selected/latest scan image and generation details may also be sent to OpenAI, our third-party AI provider, to create the image you requested.
We do not use face scan data for face identification, authentication, third-party targeted advertising, data brokerage, or cross-app tracking.
AI-generated images may be inaccurate, unrealistic, biased, or visually imperfect. They are not medical, surgical, dental, psychological, dating, or professional advice.
By tapping Agree & Continue, you consent to PSL Max collecting and processing your face scan data and, when you use AI image generation, sending relevant image and generation data to OpenAI.
If you tap Not Now, the scan or generation flow will not continue. If you tap Agree & Continue, consent is saved locally and your original flow continues.

Face Scan & AI Processing Consent
Status: show whether Face Scan & AI Processing Consent is currently accepted or not accepted.
When enabled, PSL Max may collect and process face scan images, facial landmarks/geometry, scan-derived appearance data, generation settings, and related request metadata. This information may be sent to PSL Max servers for scan processing, scoring, storage, safety, debugging, abuse prevention, and service security. If you use AI image generation, PSL Max may also send your selected/latest scan image and generation details to OpenAI to create the image you requested.
You can revoke consent for future face scan uploads and AI generation requests where available. Revoking consent prevents future face scan uploads and AI generation requests that require consent unless and until you agree again. It does not automatically delete requests already processed by PSL Max or OpenAI where retention is required or permitted for security, abuse prevention, support, legal, or provider-retention reasons.

Privacy screen one-liner
Face scans and Generate use server-side processing. PSL Max sends face scan images, facial geometry, scan-derived appearance data, generation metadata, or related personal data to PSL Max servers only after you consent. PSL Max sends image and generation details to OpenAI for AI generation only after explicit AI disclosure and consent.
App Review note copy
No face scan image, facial geometry, scan-derived appearance data, generation metadata, or related personal data is transmitted to PSL Max servers or OpenAI until the user accepts the in-app Face Scan & AI Processing Consent screen.
The app presents this consent before the first baseline scan during onboarding, the Home scan button, the extra scan or cooldown-bypass path, and the Generate flow before any AI generation request. If the user taps Not Now, the scan or generation flow does not proceed. If the user taps Agree & Continue, consent is saved locally and the original flow continues.
The app explains this in a first-use Face Scan & AI Processing Consent modal and in Settings, where users can revoke consent for future covered flows. OpenAI is identified before any AI generation request sends personal data to OpenAI. Generated images are estimates/creative outputs and are not medical, surgical, dental, psychological, dating, or professional advice.
